As I am currently kitting out my new office AKA blogging HQ, I was asked by The Works what my office essentials are.

I like a nice stylised office space.  I like my accessories to match my surroundings and find it helps creativity when you are comfortable and enjoy your blogging space.  So with that in mind, here’s my essentials…

Being a blogger, there are a few essentials I can’t live without.  If you already blog, you will know that you can never go far without a notebook and pencil.  You never know where your  next post idea will come from, so like a good girl scout, I’m always prepared!  I also find a week to view diary hugely useful.  Nothing beats a nice editorial calendar plotted down and it makes a good reference for end of year tax returns.

If you monitize your blog, you need somewhere to keep those all important records for filing your tax return. A well organised system to file and store any invoices you issue and payments you receive is a good habit to get in to early on.

I like to keep a copy of all my blog essential files on a usb stick for back up.  Things such as financial records, blog logo, any frequently used buttons or images and a a copy of my most up to date media pack.

  1. I agree with Donna you are crazy organised, I am terribly, I have an editoral calender as couldn’t live without it, but I do need to put everything on a USB for sure, great tip xx
