Woo hoo, it’s Bloggers’ Homes time! The monthly interiors blog and vlog link up! I’m slightly more excited than normal on the account that it’s MM 2nd birthday today, so it’s an extra special vibe this time!
I want to take the time to thank you for dropping by, tagging on instagram & twitter and also for linking up! My little blog turned 4 last month, and Bloggers’ Homes is one of my favourite parts of what I do. I love to see inside the homes of others and get a taste for their style and gather ideas and inspiration for my own home… So thank you for making my little dream come true each month!
This month we have the delightful Ali from Home With The Buckleys, who I first met over on instagram (check out her stories!!) She has the most wonderful feed and home and is sharing her gorgeous nursery for this month’s room feature…
What do you love most about the room?
What we love most about the room is the simplicity of the colour scheme and how we are able to change it if we need to. We went for neutral grey and then accessorised with pops of colours. Also the light in this room is so gorgeous early morning and late afternoon that the soft grey works perfectly to enhance this light. My pride and joy are the pom poms that dot the room and tie the colour scheme together. They were my very late pregnancy (and some early labor) nesting obsession. I could not stop making pom poms! But i’m so glad that I did, because every time I see them they make me smile.
What would you change, if anything?
The carpet drives me mad in there, so if I had my time again I wouldn’t have chosen a cooler grey carpet instead of the mink grey. It was one of those snap carpet shop decisions – you know the old ‘the same neutral colour throughout will be fine’ and then the day they fit it you realise you should have probably given it a bit more thought.
What’s next on the home improvement agenda?
We have a few ideas for this room going forward, as my son approaches one (!) (and with Christmas just before) we are hoping to accessorise the room with a few more props and big toys. Like a big tee pee for all his toys and maybe a world map rug (to cover that carpet). Going forward its less about the soft nursery feel and more about a vibrant place for a toddlers little brain to develop. Its exciting that we get to add new bits so soon, my pinterest boards are going to be full of children’s bedrooms once again.
