It’s hard to believe that we are creeping up to that time in MM’s life where we are going to have to tackle the cot to bed situation. Don’t get me wrong, I’m in no hurry and it’s likely to be Christmas time before we actually do it, but I’m a stickler for getting my ducks in a row (if you remember the process I went through when Munch moved from cot to bed!)
There are a few hoops to jump through first and with 2 kids, work, renovations and general life… these things can really draw out (oh and a little bit of head in the sand denial that she is not a baby anymore…weep!)Continue reading
When I mention to people that I work from home, I often get a mixed response. There is clearly 2 camps… those that think it would be amazing (I guess they picture lounging around, feasting on home bakes and an endless supply of caramel latte), whilst the other don’t favour it, in fear of being easily distracted and not feeling ‘in the zone’.
There are certainly pros and cons to working from home and I’m going to try and remain as neutral as possible on summing these up:
This month I’m absolutely loving the collection of natural materials doing the rounds on the interiors circuit. These are widely available from online boutique to high street stores and incorporate a range of textures and colours to add a touch of natural to your room. From cork, to wicker and all those amazing inbetweens, such as jute, marble, wood and concrete. These elements are very tactile and come in a variety of finishes from the highly polished to the hand made, to suit your decor taste best.Continue reading
