MADS2014

Well I’m sure you have all noticed that it’s MAD Blog Awards 2014 nominations time.  If you haven’t, then where have you been?!

Social media is awash with suggestions, congratulations and lots of happy bloggers and it’s time for me to do my bit.

This is my first MADS (Mummy & Daddy Blog Awards) and I’m delighted to say I’ve been nominated in 6 categories so far, including Best New Blog and Best Homes & Interiors Blog.  So, if you have still yet to nominate, I would really appreciate your consideration in those categories (pretty please with a cherry on top).  Chances are you are a fellow blogger too, so you will understand what an award from your peers means (or maybe you are lucky enough to already have one).

But enough about little old me.  I would like to take this chance to shout loud and proud about some of the fantastic blogs I’ve been reading, who are very deserving in their own little way:

Hurrah For Gin – Katie has gone down a storm since she has started blogging.  Keeping it real and making light of the everyday odd circumstances that us parents have to battle through, such as Postman Pat and why he is still employed?? and having a bath with far too many sets of eyes on you.  If she doesn’t have you in fits of laughter, then I don’t know what will.

Redhead Babyled – Donna has been on my blog radar for years!  I have followed her journey from first born to second born and all the inbetween.  An ex Bank Manager, she is fantastic at being thrifty and her slow cooker series is a must for any busy parent, who doesn’t want to rely on takeaway food (ahem, guilty).

Innocent Charmer Chats – Kara is another long term blog love of mine.  Addy and Munch are only months apart and I just love to see her lovely little family grow.  Kara and her husband are just the cutest and despite being busy parents of 3, they still manage to find time for each other.  Something I really admire.

My Two Mums – I first discovered Kirsty and Clara through Innocent Charmer Chats blog due to their fundraising efforts for Kara’s son Grayson.  Since then, I’ve followed them and their little Monkey.  I love their photography and I absolutely love the family fun they exhibit on their blog and You Tube channel.

Toby Goes Bananas – I found Sarah through twitter.  We chat quite regularly and I love to keep updated on what her and Toby are up to.  To see someone elses family grow up is really quite a heart warming experience.

The Reading Residence – Jocelyn and I did a shared link party in December and I’m hooked on her blog ever since.  If you love to read, look no further for an honest book review and family happiness too.

Blooming Boo – Boo is one of the nicest people on twitter.  I love to see her style and follow her motherhood journey with baby Arthur, who is super cute just like his mummy.

Ready to vote?  Voting is open until the 14th March 2014 and there are 14 categories, so hopefully you will think of me and my blogging buddies whilst working your way through them.

I will keep you posted on my progress.  Fingers crossed for a finalist position!

Thank you in advance 🙂
