With the house move looming around the corner, it’ll soon be time to wave goodbye to my fantastic under stair storage cupboard. It has served us fantastically and I will be very sad to see it go. As it stands, the new house doesn’t have a similar space. So there is no hope of re-creating this in the new house.
In this house, Munch has always shared our kitchen/family room, however she will have her own playroom in the new house (well initially anyway). This is quite exciting, but I don’t just want it to be a dumping ground for toys. The space needs to be inviting, yet functional and have lots and lots of STORAGE!
I’ve been scouring the internet for inspiration for well organised playrooms and I found this spectacular example by Jen over at I Heart Organizing.
I love the use of Ikea Expedit to create a seating area with ample storage underneath.
I certainly think we will need an entertainment unit to store the larger toys too. Also, check out those book holders on the right, divine!
Munch has alot of large toys, so to utilise every space in the playroom, I just love the idea of these Rolling Toy Crates by Jackie at Teal & Lime (check out her tutorial on how to make these).
I just can’t wait to get my hands on the new house and attack the playroom! Stay tuned for updates!
