Togetherness…something that is treasured in our family. Savored for the very blink of time during the week. Those fleeting moments in the morning when we are all rushing around in the morning and those with places to go, head out the door. Then the snapshot of time in the evenings when kids are being put to bed and dinner is being made. It’s something that is really felt at a weekend, where life slows down…just for 48 hours. Long enough to connect again, make memories and carve out a future.Continue reading
A photo tells a story…a story of our lives. Growing up, making memories and capturing those special moments, yet rarely those little everyday moments….the ordinary bits of life that mold us.
Thanks to the fabulous Clare over at Maybush Studios, I will be doing exactly that. Capturing those little unseen smiles, the unheard joy and the moments that build our lives and make it what it is.Continue reading
We haven’t been able to make the most of the falling leaves yet, due to the constant rain. So this Autumn we’ve been busying ourselves inside.
Last weekend we found a new softplay, but were then disappointed to find out that they had actually closed it to the public (private parties only) and was up for sale (who wants to club together?!).
We were there for a 3rd birthday party and perhaps it was the distinct lack of older children, but this place was out of this world! They had a giant helter skelter, which the kids all cried going down as it was so dark (adults loved it though!), but by far the best were the wavy side by side slides, which were super slippy!
We spent a good half hour going up and down and back up again! Giggling like we were both 3 years old.
Munch had a great time going round with her little bestest buddy and both me and her little friends mummy enjoyed it too! Great weekend!
Let it…oh no not again. Yep, you’ve guessed it. Munch has been bitten by the Frozen bug and she has it bad!
I blame nursery really. Like the pig that shall not be named, she was blissfully unaware until constant repetition of the soundtrack at nursery led to You Tube clips and then finally we succumbed to the film.
After what seems like a billion screenings of the film, everyone in the house has the words down to a ‘T’ for every song. We even do the dance moves when it gets to ‘our mental synchronization, can have but one explanation’ bit (you’re doing it, right?)
After all the Frozen jigsaw puzzles, toys, jammies and soundtrack…you don’t need any clues from me to guess what the Halloween costume was. Yep…Elsa! (well it was that or Anna!)
Well, as it goes…I quite like the film (shhhhhh, don’t tell anyone), so I quite look forward to snuggling up with Munch on the sofa to watch it.
I can’t wait to tell her I have tickets to Disney on Ice next year!
It happens all too fast. I remember at 3 weeks standing in the bathroom thinking, oh my word, how are we going to cope looking after this little person. But before I know it, you are age 3 going on 13 and own your own chapstick!
This week was filled with illness, so I was slumped in bed. But in you came and brought such a smile to my face with your cheeky patter. You really made my heart melt when I spotted you doing your own hair and applying chapstick in the mirror. I have to admit though, as much as I smiled, my heart sank to realise that you won’t always be my little Munchie Moo.
As always during these magical moments, I didn’t have my proper camera to hand.
You have been pretty wicked as baby girls go. I have really enjoyed bringing you up. I just hope that you slow down a little bit, because I love looking after you so much.
