Last year I was receiving the acne treatment drug better known as Roaccutane. Being in my 30’s and still having to be conscious of what I wore, how I wore my hair and what I put on my skin, all to best hide my worse affected areas finally got to me. It was fairly safe to say that I wasn’t going to grow out of it and having exhausted a long list of lotions, potions, dietary factors and antibiotics, all of which had a short term result at best, I was finally referred to a dermatologist. A bit of a motto this year for me is to spend more time doing the things I love and less doing those things I hate. Now that we are edging ever closer to the year end, I do feel that I have certainly made a huge dent in achieving this.
I wrote a while ago about how I was struggling to control my time, now that I’m my own boss. Work was seeping into all the crevices of time that I had so carefully curated for those things I enjoy (blogging being one of them) and left me feeling overwhelmed and frustrated at myself. However, these past few months, I think I finally have it nailed and I’m looking forward to starting a New Year with these skills in place and reaping a spring and summer of doing what I love.

Well the cold is creeping in and we’ve even had our first frosty morning… And well, could I start any monthly round up without saying “I can’t believe it’s November already”?! Nothing quite says November like dark mornings and evenings, red frost biten hands and using your Tesco clubcard as an ice scraper on the car windscreen. Autumn was fleeting and winter has truly arrived!
