I’m now in my 4th year of blogging and my blog will turn 5 later this year. I’ve seen blogging friends, who started around the same time, write books, become World famous and even make a living out of blogging. Something I’d never have believed, if I didn’t see it all unfold in front of my very eyes!Continue reading
A bit of a motto this year for me is to spend more time doing the things I love and less doing those things I hate. Now that we are edging ever closer to the year end, I do feel that I have certainly made a huge dent in achieving this.
I wrote a while ago about how I was struggling to control my time, now that I’m my own boss. Work was seeping into all the crevices of time that I had so carefully curated for those things I enjoy (blogging being one of them) and left me feeling overwhelmed and frustrated at myself. However, these past few months, I think I finally have it nailed and I’m looking forward to starting a New Year with these skills in place and reaping a spring and summer of doing what I love.

Those of you not in the blogging world may struggle to wonder just what a blog actually is and why I even bother to do it in the first place… Well, this little online space started back in 2013 as somewhere to share my favourite things… From family moments, to my home obsession and since then our house renovation. I think of it as a modern day scrapbook or a memory box. I have monthly posts of our family life, where not only can I look back and see how much they have grown up, but I have context and video. I mark down the thoughts, worries and feelings associated with each. It’s an outlet for all my passions too, such as my favourite homes and interiors trends, as well as some amazing discoveries (because I love a bargain!). Not only that, but it’s connected me to a community of like minded, amazing people, who I wouldn’t have otherwise met.Continue reading
Oh Instagram, the ever addictive… ever frustrating (I’m looking at you algorythm) hub of my phone. I love nothing more that scrolling and double tapping away my evenings. I love nothing more that catching up on my favourites and I’ve been sharing these with your over the past few months, if you want to check back previous instagram crushes. This month I want to share someone, who I bloody adore (quite frankly). She was probably one of the first bloggers I ever read, followed on social and even watched on You Tube and that is the rather lovely Katie Ellison from Mummy Daddy Me.
