Happy first of the month everyone and welcome to the latest Bloggers’ Homes… The monthly interiors blog and vlog link up! Huge thank you to everyone who link ups, tweets and tags over on Instagram.  I love this community so much and quite frankly, couldn’t do it without you all.

If you are here to link up a home realted blog post, or vlog, then you can do so at the bottom of this month’s post and have a chance to win a £30 voucher for Rockett St George (whilst also finding out who won the previous month’s link up!).

Now this month’s feature room is from an absolute beat of an Instagram crush of mine.  I was very lucky to discover this amazing account whilst doing some work with TK Maxx and I was honoured to feature in a campaign alongside her.  Not only is her work jaw droppingly gorgeous, but she’s from Scotland!  So I’ll hand you over to the amazing Wendy from Thank FiFi, to show you round one of her beautiful transformations…

What do you love most about the room?

It just feels so light and bright now and I really love that – everyone always wants to hang out in the kitchen because it’s just such a sociable space; the fact that our island is open plan to the living space is perfect.  And the DIY concrete detail cladding the island is a personal triumph of mine – after working so hard to convince everyone else that it was a good idea, I am so, so pleased with how it worked out.

What would you change, if anything?

I guess in an ideal world I would have had real encaustic tiles but the stickers we went for were way more budget friendly and gave the same effect so I can’t really complain…

What future home plans are on the horizon?

We actually just moved into a new home and funnily enough the kitchen here is almost identical to this kitchen before we did the makeover, bloomin’ typical!  The space is different though and feels much darker so I am currently looking into cladding the dark worktops with white marble… and of course doing something with the island, maybe pink plaster cladding or concrete again!

  1. What a beautiful kitchen. I love the concrete cladding, it’s a very clever idea. It’s a shame Wendy has had to leave it all behind for her new house, but at least that gives her more opportunities to put her ideas into practise.
