Pinch punch, first of the month… and that could only mean 1 thing! It’s Bloggers’ Homes time again… the monthly homes & interior blog and vlog link up – yippee!
Thank you to everyone who linked up during February’s Bloggers’ Homes, you can scroll down to reveal the winner. Also, thank you to all those who tweeted and shared their space on instagram. It really is shaping up to be a great community out there.
This month we have a a rather stunning feature and that is the glorious Emily from Brick Dust & Glitter (last months instagram crush!) to show us around her recently upcycled kitchen…
What do you love most about the room?
I love how light it has become. With the white cupboards and walls and the light marble effect work top I just feel it is so light and airy! Everyone’s said the room feels bigger and I am sure it is the influx of light and having no clutter on the work tops that has done this!
If you could do it all again… What would you do differently?
We are really pleased with our pantry cupboard mirrored doors. We used acrylic mirror instead of glass due to the weight difference and for safety reason with the kids (In case they accidentally crashed into it) but because it is plastic when you place the panes all in the frame they have a slight distortion. It really bugs me even though it is not that noticeable so I would consider maybe using glass and not having lower panels just so it reflects perfectly! Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing really wrong with them but if I were to change something, it would be them. I love how they look though and the effect they give is perfect. They also bounce light around the room amazingly!
What room is next on your list?
We are running out of rooms to decorate!! However the main bathroom is lacking everything. Very boring and just basic so would like something special done in there. I would really just love to tile the walls properly and fit a better sink!
