It’s the start of a new month… and that could only mean 1 thing! It’s Bloggers’ Homes time again… the monthly homes & interior blog and vlog link up – yippee!
Thank you to everyone who linked up during March’s Bloggers’ Homes, you can scroll down to reveal the winner. Also, thank you to all those who tweeted and shared their space on instagram using the hashtag #bloggershomes. It really is shaping up to be a great community out there and I love the inspiration and motivation that gets shared between everyone.
This months featured room comes from a very dear friend of mine, Gaby at Life in Eight. Gaby is adorable and her organisational skills and home decor is second to none… if you don’t believe me, just check out her instagram feed and stories. She is a guru and a half when it comes to zero clutter. She has recently updated her master bedroom and I couldn’t wait to quiz her about it and share the space with you guys.
What do you love most about the room?
I love how relaxed and uncluttered it feels. This really is our style and we feel comfortable in it. We managed to solve all the little things that used to annoy us about our previous bedroom set-up/layout, like the stained divan base fabric that we didn’t manage to clean up despite all our numerous attempts, or the lack of a place for doing my hair and rarely done make-up. Since I was little I always wanted to have a dressing table and I’m so glad that by selling our old big chest of drawers and looking at the space available in our bedroom with different eyes I managed to fit not only a new chest but also the really good sized table.
If you could do it all again… What would you do differently?
I wouldn’t change anything just now, but we do need to find a new ceiling light or shade as the old blingy one doesn’t look right in the room anymore. I’m thinking something in light wood or concrete and white but I haven’t seen anything I like yet.
What room is next on your list?
We’ve already started working in re-decorating yet another room in our house: the home office. It’s almost there, but there are still a few key pieces that I would like to add and that will finish it off nicely. You can have a sneak peak of our office in my Instagram account.
